Chevy S10 with a 2JZ
This 1988 Chevy S10 was built by Andrew Kojetin of Dirty Love drift team in Minnesota. The little truck might have led a mundane life up until Andrew got a hold of it.
The truck rides on a custom frame and Nissan 240SX based McPherson IFS with Stance 240SX coilovers and 16k springs. The rear suspension is from a Mustang Cobra 8.8 with QA1 single adjustable coilovers with 9k springs.
Powering the truck is a 3.0 L 2JZ-GTE inline-six from a 1998 Aristo. The engine has been upgraded with a ported head, Wiseco Armor pistons, ported intake, 1000 cc injectors, and Ford 76 mm throttle body. It produces 500 horsepower and 489 lb-ft of torque on 21 psi of boost from a Comp Turbo CT3 6262 turbocharger.
A Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission is connected to the inline-six via a billet adapter plate. The clutch has been upgraded to a QuarterMasters 7.25″ twin disc. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Proven Force 3″ steel drive shaft to the Ford 8.8″ rear end with 3.38 gears from a Mustang Cobra.
