1969 Ford F-100 with a Lightning Chassis and Powertrain – Part 5

V8 Speed & Resto Shop in Red Bud, Illinois started a new project called “Thunder’s Truck.” A customer approached the team to take a 1969 Ford F-100 truck and do a complete chassis and powertrain swap from a 2002 Ford Lighting truck. The more modern truck’s chassis, suspension, ABS brakes, supercharged 5.4 L V8 and transmission were going inside the classis Ford body. In this episode the team finishes the wiring and takes the truck out for the first test drive. They also take it to be weighed and it comes in at 4,560 lbs.
