Daewoo Tico with a Honda D15
The Daewoo Tico was sold in Poland from 1996–2001. It was based off a Suzuki Alto and featured a 796 cc S-TEC three-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual transmission. BRS in Opole Province, Poland has taken one of those Ticos and is building it into a very unique project. The factory engine has been replaced with a 1.5 L Honda D15B2 inline-four and five-speed manual from a fifth generation Civic. The drivetrain has been upgraded with custom headers, ported head, lightened pulleys, and Exedy clutch. To get the engine to fit the radiator support was replaced with a lowered custom support made from square tubing. A small section of the firewall also had to be pushed further back for the engine’s intake. Because the engine and custom headers took up so much room the radiator was relocated to the back of the car beside the fuel cell.
