Honda Civic with a Turbo LS3 Update
Matt Hickman spends his days running Alliance Fabrication in Haslet, Texas. On his down time you can find him working on his tube chassis Honda Civic drag monster. In our previous article Matt was building his own turbocharged V8 engine. Since then he has been busy installing his newly won Steve Morris turbocharged 6.2 L LS3. Matt beat over 10,000 contestants to win the LSFree contest. The engine features CP Bullet pistons, SME Forged H-Beam rods, SME cam, Fuel Injector Clinic 1000 cc LS3 Hi-Z injectors, and a Bullseye 83 mm turbocharger. On an engine dyno it produced 1,060 horsepower on 14.5 psi of boost and can easily hold more with a stronger cooling system. In case you are wondering a similar engine package from SME would cost around $23,000.
