Acura Integra Type R with a Supercharged K20/K24
This is James Houghton’s incredible fast Acura Integra Type R built for Time Attack racing. To achieve the records this car holds it needed a very powerful engine. Under the hood is a Honda K20/K24 built by Eric Lavigne at R-Division. The engine starts with a K24 block with 11:1 CP pistons, Carillo rods and then a K20 head with 2006 TSX cams and Brian Crower valvetrain. Running off a Hondata K-Pro ECU and 17 psi of boost from a Jackson Racing supercharger, the engine produces 500 hp and 300+ lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. The transmission is a 2008 Civic Si unit with a series of gears from different Honda models connected to a Clutchmaster clutch and OS Giken LSD. Listen as Dave from Speed Academy talks to James about his Integra and then watch him drive it around the course at Gridlife.
