1967 Ford Fairlane with a 427 SOHC V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Stephen Strope from Pure Vision Designs stopped by Jay Leno’s Garage to talk about a 1967 Ford Fairlane built by his company. When developing a plan for the project Stephen wondered what a hypothetical special group inside Ford might have built as a R&D test bed for the 1967 racing season. Inside the engine bay sits a 427 ci Ford SOHC big-block V8 built by Ed Pink Racing Engines and Stephen estimates it produces mid-600 horsepower. The engine uses four two-barrel Holley carburetors. Behind the engine sits a Ford Toploader four-speed manual transmission going to a Speedway Engineering Super Max Quick Change rear end with 3.54 gears. The Fairlane won Best Ford Award at SEMA 2014 by a group of Ford designers.

In this video Stephen explains in more detail modifications on the Fairlane.
