Willys Jeep with a Twin-turbo LSx

Published in engineswapdepot.com

If “normal” drag racing just isn’t cutting it anymore might I suggest building a ridiculously powerful Willys Jeep. This particular one is powered by a 5.3 L iron-block LM7 running two Borg Warner S366 turbochargers and a TH400 automatic transmission. This combo is good for 661 horsepower and 805 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels running on E85 fuel and 10 psi of boost. The Jeep sits on a stretched frame with a 2007 Crown Victory front end and 1985 Ford F-150 9″ rear end with 3.50 gears. The first time out the Jeep’s best was a 10.07 sec quarter-mile with it weighing 3,130 lbs (w/ driver) and using 25″ tires. Do not confuse this with the LSX Willys which is powered by a 4.8 L V8 with a D1 ProCharger supercharger and nitrous we wrote about here or the Roadkill Jeep.
