Ford Model A with an S2000 Drivetrain

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Many automotive fans have seen concept renderings and thought it would be fun to build it but very few ever get around to it. James Schwartz isn’t one of those type of people. He saw a rendering by Aaron Beck and decided to actually build it.

James started with a Ford Model A cab that received a lot of metal fabrication including a six inch chop and shortened grill. Then a custom frame was made out of square tubing with a C-notch in the rear to allow the car sit as low as possible.

A Honda S2000 was found that would act as the sacrificial lamb. James took at least the F20C and six-speed transmission out of the S2000 to install in the Model A. The S2000 digital dash also found its way into the center of the dashboard.

Some other modifications that are sure firsts on a car like this were the rear wing with a LED bar that acted as brake, reverse, and turn signal lights. James also built a custom rear diffuser and a functional air scoop that took air from the back of the roof and fed it into the rear mounted radiator.

James recently sold the car but I am sure he will be back with something amazing again soon.
