Published in engineswapdepot.com

LoveFab has been busy building two new race cars to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb 2016.

The first project is called Torquezillion and features a Toyota Nascar body over a full tube chassis. The race car will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.7 L Cummins inline-six engine that will produce 1,000 hp and 2,000 lb-ft of torque. Cody Loveland will be driving and attempt to break the diesel record of 11:11.00 currently held by a Mercedes C250d 4MATIC. You can follow the Torquezillion’s build on the project’s Instagram.

The second project is called Enviate v2.0. The race car will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.0 L iron-block LQ9 V8 connected to a Porsche G5052 transaxle. The engine will produce around 700 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque on 10 psi of boost. The car will weigh under 2,000 lbs with the full carbon fiber body and have a 35% front and 65% rear weight distribution. A driver has not been selected at this time.
