1970 Mustang With A Mid-engine Ford GT V8

Bobby Johnson’s amazing 1970 Ford Mustang was photographed on Day 5 of the HOT ROD Power Tour at Hoover (Alabama) Metropolitan Stadium. The Mustang runs a supercharged 5.4 L modular V8 and transaxle from a Ford GT behind the driver. The factory engine bay now holds the radiator, fuel tank, and water tank for intercooler. Bobby built a custom chassis to allow the body and engine to fit together with very little modification. The only body modification that was needed was moving the rear wheel wells back three inches. I am sure we will be seeing a lot of feature articles and videos on this project.
