Building A 4th Gen Mustang With A 1000 HP LQ4
by swaptastic
Published in engineswapdepot.com
When this 2000 Mustang was purchased with a blown V6 motor it was originally only going to get a V8 swap but things have gone in a different direction since. The power plant now is a de-stroked 2006 LQ4 with twin GT45 turbochargers and setup to run on E85 and occasionally E98. Connected to the engine is a TH400 automatic transmission built by Bergeron Racing rated for 1,200 horsepower and a Strange Engineering build Ford 8.8 diff.
