Mercury Racing recently unveiled a four-valve DOHC V8 based on a LS3 V8. I wondered how long it would be before we saw one of these in a vehicle but we don’t have to wait at all. Salvaggio Automotive Design has worked with Mercury Racing in the past and decided to use one of their new DOHC small-blocks for this 1955 Chevy Nomad. The supercharged engine is connected to a Bowler Performance Transmissions 4L80E and rides on a Fast Track chassis built by the Roadster Shop. There is no mention of horsepower numbers but I am sure we will find out soon along with video of this running.
