Some will recognize this as Bodie Stroud’s 1969 Mustang called “The Real Deal”. Although it was finished in 2011, it was the first time we had heard about this amazing project. There are lots of subtle body modifications on this Mustang. The look was so important to get right, a donor car was used to check the widened back and altered roofline. The wildest part is the engine is the engine. It is one of ten all-aluminium 494 ci V8s Ford made in 1969 for Mario Andretti’s Can-Am race car. The motor was built by QMP Racing and was upgraded with a custom intake and EFI.
