Henry Kessler’s 1931 Ford Rat Rod
Everything on this 1932 Ford has been created into the outrageous. The engine is a huge straight-six from a 1952 Diamond Reo truck and has over 1 million miles on it. It produces 275 horsepower and 1,640 ft.-lb. of torque. The frame rails are made out of city light poles and the airbag suspension is from a city bus. About the only thing I squeamish with is the location of the the gas tank. It is located behind the “firewall” and is under the dash. Even in winter I would be sweating bullets driving this. Hopefully the tank is encased in inch thick steel. No matter what you think of this and I am sure there are people who hate it, you have to appreciate Henry’s enthusiasm for the project. He seems to really enjoy driving it and allowing others to enjoy it as well.
