Here is a video of a 800+ horsepower Mazda Miata coming as close as it gets to hitting the wall multiple times. The driver at the end explains the Miata got too hot waiting to race and the core plug blows out, spilling coolant on one of the rear tires during the race.
The Miata was previously running a RB25 but was upgraded to a RB26 running a Garrett GT42-45R turbocharger making 26 psi. It is also running a Powerglide transmission, GM differential, custom axles, and a pair of 26×10.5 slicks.
