LS3 Powered Mitsubishi Van Called the FARGO

Here we have a 1983 Mitsubishi van which has been modified into one mean truck. The power comes from a swapped LS3 motor sitting in the back with the automatic 6L80E transmission pointing toward the cab. From the motor the power goes through a Nissan Patrol transfer case to the rear axle. Also swapped from the Patrol is the rear axle, four bar rear suspension and disc brakes. Since this truck is in Australia, it will have to meet all 2012 engineering requirements of a new vehicle. This means putting it through a series of tests costing around $5,000. Another advantage besides getting to drive this machine down the street is the owner will get to officially name it.
