1972 AMC Javelin with a 900 hp Redeye V8

JA Customs built this 1972 AMC Javelin with a supercharged 6.2 L Hellcat Redeye V8 capable of 900 hp (661 kW). The motor uses a Texas Speed & Performance camshaft, 2Fast Performance custom tune, Demon 77072601AA Hemi controller, and custom exhaust headers. Behind the V8 is an 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission and Ford 9-inch axle with a 3.70 ratio. The car’s suspension features a Control Freak independent front, triangulated 4-link rear, and Viking adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by Brembo 17-inch front brakes and 15-inch rear brakes. Covering those are Challenger SRT Demon-style wheels (20×9, 20×13.5) wearing Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (265/25, 345/30). The body is painted in custom Viper Stryker Green with a black vinyl top, custom bumpers, and carbon kevlar hood. View more photos of the car at Mecum.
