Mazda Miata with a 459 hp 2.3L EcoBoost

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Geaux Moto built this Mazda Miata (ND) with a turbocharged 2.3 L Ecoboost inline-four using their EcoBoost swap kit. The motor is a Mountune MRX longblock with a Garrett G30-770 turbocharger, modified TurboTotal twin-scroll manifold, water-cooled twin wastegates, and Focus RS/ST oil pan with baffling. The motor has different boost settings with the highest making 459 hp (337 kW) and 392 lb-ft (531 Nm) of torque. Behind the motor is a Mustang MT82 manual transmission and factory Miata diff case with an OS Giken limited-slip differential. Geaux Motor fabricated a custom aluminum PPF (power plant frame) to support the drivetrain. The suspension uses MCS two-way adjustable coilovers, SPL rear control arms, and spherical bushings everywhere. Braking is handled by AP Racing 5000R four-piston front brakes and Wilwood four-piston rear brakes. A Verus Engineering aero package applies 576 lbs of downforce at 100 mph on a set of Vitour Tempesta P1 285/30 tires mounted on Apex 17×10-inch wheels.
