Datsun 240Z with a Toyota 1JZ Inline-Six

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1972 Datsun 240Z originally came with a 2.4 L L24 inline-six. It is now powered by a turbocharged 2.5 L Toyota 1JZ-GTE inline-six. Exhaust is routed through custom 3-inch stainless steel tubing and HKS Hi-Power muffler. A R154 five-speed manual transmission from a Mk3 Supra sends power to a Ford 8.8-inch rear end with a Truetrac limited-slip differential and 3.73 ratio. The suspension uses BC Racing coilovers, Techno Toy Tuning (T3) steering knuckles, and Apex Engineered rear subframe, front and rear control arms, and tie rods. The factory brakes were swapped for Nissan 370Z disc brakes. The factory yellow body is repainted black with the bumpers removed. There is also a Skillard front splitter and side skirts. Under the carbon fiber arches are Falken Azenis RT660 255/40 tires mounted on Rota RKR-R wheels 17×9.5-inch. You can view more photos and details on the 240Z at Bring a Trailer.
