Mechatronik applied their M-Coupé conversion to this Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 (W111). The car would have originally come with a 3.5 L M116 V8 producing 197 hp (147 kW) and 211 lb-ft (286 Nm) of torque. Mechatronik upgraded to a 5.4 L M113 V8 capable of 360 hp (265 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque. They back the M113 V8 with a NAG1 five-speed automatic transmission and Mechatronik’s limited-slip differential. They also improve handling with a lowered suspension using KW Automotive springs and shocks. The front brakes are upgraded to W126 calipers with 280 mm rotors while Mechatronik rebuilds the rear brakes with W111 calipers and 273 mm rotors in back.
