1963 Chevy Nova with a 850 hp LS3 V8
Roadster Shop built this “Survivor Series” 1963 Chevy Nova for a repeat customer. Under the modified hood sits a supercharged 376 ci (6.1L) LS3 V8 built by Wegner Automotive featuring a LS3 block, forged crank, WAR forged rods, Mahle forged pistons, Melling oil pump, and custom ground camshaft. On top are Wegner ported heads with Inconel exhaust valves, stainless steel intake valves, and dual valve springs. Boost is generated by a Whipple 2.9 L supercharger. Exhaust is routed through longtube headers to 3-inch tubing and Borla mufflers. The engine is cable of 850 hp (625 kW) and 850 lb-ft (1152 Nm) of torque. Behind the motor is a Tilton twin-disc clutch and Bowler T56 six-speed manual transmission. A carbon fiber driveshaft sends power to a 9-inch rear end. Roadster Shop swapped the factory subframe for their SPEC chassis with Fox SV adjustable coilovers and parallel 4-link rear suspension. A set of Forgeline OE1 wheels with factory hub caps and Falken Azenis RT600 tires (245/40, 315/30) cover Baer four-piston calipers with drilled/slotted rotors.
