Ryan Tuerck’s V10 Supra is Back
In 2020 Ryan Tuerck set out to build the ultimate fifth-generation Supra. The project would not be powered by conventional engine. Instead he went with a naturally aspirated 4.0 L Judd V10 originally built by Engine Developments Ltd. (Judd Power). The motor produced 630 hp to the wheels when dyno tuned by John Reed Racing (video below). Ryan backs the amazing motor with a custom adapter plate made by OMD San Diego to fit a Hollinger RD6 six-speed sequential transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford 8.8-inch rear end supported by a modified subframe. In the video below Ryan is prepping the Supra for Goodwood Festival of Speed by installing a new rear wing from Verus Engineering, Wisefab V2 rear control arms, KW 6-way coilovers, and Driveshaft Shop rear axles. Then the Supra travels to Thompson Speedway in Connecticut to test the upgrades at a Porsche Clubsport track event.
