1974 Super Beetle with a Honda Flat-Six

Published in engineswapdepot.com

JT Built It created a unique 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. Wanting more power and something different, he swapped a 1.5 L flat-six from a 1988 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. The motor is capable of 100 hp (73 kW) and 111 lb-ft (150 Nm) of torque. The installation used custom mounts and the Gold Wing’s radiators and ECU with a custom wiring harness. Power is sent to the 15-inch wheels through a Gold Wing five-speed transmission to a Polaris RZR 1000XP sprague carrier differential to a custom single axle. The car does not have reverse. Other modifications include Porsche 996 911 front seats and VW Rabbit steering wheel. Listen to the builder discuss the work in the video below or make a bid on Cars&Bids.
