Trackspec Autosports’ K24-Powered Exige
Trackspec Autosports is a company in San Francisco, California specializing in Lotus, BMW, Porsche, Honda S2000, and NSX track performance. The company has built several cars for the track including a special Lotus Exige with a 2.4 L Honda K24A inline-four. Trackspec Autosports swapped the motor using Innovative mounts and upgraded the motor with a K20 oil pump, Unit 2 Fabrication baffled oil pan, and Hytech 4-2-1 exhaust header. On top sits a 4Piston Racing TSX CNC ported head with 4Piston Racing RR3 camshafts, Supertech valve springs and retainers, and Ferrea valves. On the side is a RBC intake manifold with an Acura ZDX throttle body and Acura RDX 410 cc injectors. Everything is controlled by an Emtron KV8 ECU and custom wiring harness. The K24 produces 249 hp (185 kW) and 179 lb-ft (242 Nm) of torque. The drivetrain uses an Exedy Stage 2 4-puck clutch to a DC5 Integra Type R transmission with a 4.7 ratio, limited-slip differential, and Innovative axles. Trackspec Autosports upgraded the car’s suspension with JRZ RS Pro 3 coilovers and AP Pro 5000R four-piston front brakes.
