Published in engineswapdepot.com

The “132VRX” was created by Lucian Pavel at Carsx Garage with help from Tad Performance. The custom BMW 1 Series E81 is powered by a compound-turbocharged VR6 featuring forged internals, 12 2200 cc injectors, billet oil pan, and custom stainless steel exhaust manifold. Last year the motor produced 1252 hp (920 kW) and 1291 Nm (952 lb-ft) of torque. However for 2026 Lucian increased the output to 1452 hp (1067 kW) and 1378 Nm (1016 lb-ft) of torque. The monster engine spins four Hoosier 26.0×10.0-15 slicks thanks to an 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW xDrive AWD drivetrain. The car attended the 1st stage of the National DragRacing Championship 2026 at Arad International Airport and completed the quarter-mile in 7.83 sec at 290.5 km/h (180 mph).
