Ron Merlino’s LS7-Powered Nissan 350Z

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Ron Merlino from Raiju Racing built his 2004 Nissan 350Z to compete in time attack with help from LOJ Conversions. Under the hood sits a 7.0 L LS7 V8 producing 600 hp (441 kW). The motor features a stock rotating assembly, piston oil squirters, Texas Speed Stage 4 camshaft, Lingenfelter ported heads, Dailey Engineering Stage 3 dry sump, and LOJ Conversions longtube headers. Behind the V8 is a LOJ Conversions adapter and Clutchmasters twin-disc clutch to a 370Z six-speed manual transmission. Further back is a R200 rear differential and 370Z axles. Ron improved handling using MCS two-way remote reservoir shocks, Swift springs, and SPL adjustable control arms. Braking is handled by StopTech ST-40 four-piston front brakes and ST-22 two-piston rear brakes. Those are covered by BC Forged RS43 wheels wearing Yokahoma A052 tires.
