1969 Camaro with a 7.0 L SB4 V8

Brett Schmeski and his company Mountain Home Street Rods (MHSR) built this 1969 Camaro RS/SS called “Mercury Rising” and won 2021 Goodguys Street Machine of the Year. The classic muscle car is powered by a 7.0 L SB4 V8 built by Mercury Racing. The LS7-based motor features custom DOHC heads and produces 750 hp (551 kW) and 570 lb-ft (772 Nm) of torque. A T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission sends that power through a carbon fiber driveshaft to a 9-inch rear end with a 4.11 ratio. The Camaro rides on Detroit Speed’s front subframe and Quadralink rear suspension. Braking is handled by Wilwood Aero six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes. A set of Forgeline AL305 wheels (18×10, 19×12) wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (275/35, 345/30). Read more details on the Camaro at Hot Rod or at Fuel Curve.
