GR Corolla with a 1000+ hp Turbo Inline-Six
Ryan Tuerck competes in Formula Drift for Papadakis Racing in their Toyota GR Corolla. The company decided against the hatchback’s inline-three for an engine with twice the cylinders.
The Corolla is powered by a turbocharged 3.0 L B58 inline-six. Papadakis Racing built the motor with billet main caps, Supertech H-beam rods, EFR9280 turbocharger. On top sits a ported head by Portflow Design with aftermarket camshafts and Supertech valvetrain.
Papadakis Racing’s motor produces 1,095 hp (805 kW) and 950 lb-ft (1288 Nm) of torque on E85 fuel and 10.2:1 compression. They pair that monster motor to a GForce GSR four-speed dogbox using a Tilton 8.5-inch triple-disk clutch. From there power is sent through a Driveshaft Shop carbon fiber driveshaft to a quick-change rear end.
The Corolla rides on ST shocks with Swift springs and custom Papadakis Racing sway bars. Under the Jonsibal designed and TRD built widebody are ZMO-M wheels (18×9, 18×10) with Nitto NT05 275/35 front tires and Nitto NT555G2 315/40 rear tires. View the Corolla’s full specs here.
