Stephan Papadakis Builds a Toyota 18R-G

Stephan Papadakis fron Papadakis Racing found a 1972 Toyota Celica that sat abandoned for 20 years. Stephan documented the car’s restoration here. A recent video in the series shows Stephan building another Toyota 18R-G inline-four for the car. The engine build starts with a prepped block installed with CP forged pistons, Carrillo rods, and modified baffled oil pan. On top sits a ported head by Port Flow with custom valves, custom-ground HKS camshafts, Supertech 38 mm buckets, and Kameari multi-layer head gasket.
