Riccardo Pontonio bought his 1984 Mercedes 230TE (W123) to Quickbitz for tuning. The wagon’s twin-turbo 6.2 L LSA V8 made 764 hp (561 kW) on the hub dyno. The motor features a LSA crankshaft, Lunati rods, Diamond pistons, Brian Tooley Racing Stage 3 turbo camshaft, and two Garrett G30 turbochargers. Fuel is fed by 1650 cc injectors controlled by a Haltech Elite 2500 ECU. The drivetrain uses a TCI Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission and M80 rear end built by Harrop with a Truetrac limited-slip differential and 3.46 ratio.
