Published in engineswapdepot.com

KMP Speed Shop built this second-generation Toyota MR2 called “The Frog” to drag race. In the back of the car they swapped a turbocharged Honda K20 inline-four featuring forged internals, dry sump system, upgraded camshafts, and Ferrea valvetrain. The motor runs on VP M1 methanol fuel controlled by a Ecumaster EMU Pro-16 ECU. A custom exhaust manifold routes exhaust to a Pulsar PSR 8894 turbocharger will generates 80+ psi of boost. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a PPG dogobox. KMP Speed Shop’s best quarter-mile is a 7.315 sec at 202.18 mph. They hope to beat it at World Cup Finals 2025.
