1966 Mustang with a Roush Coyote V8
Chris Tawil tasked Detroit Speed with building an amazing 1966 Mustang capable of handing the street or autocross. In the engine bay they installed a 5.0 L Coyote V8 built by Roush Performance. Backing that is a Bowler T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission and Detroit Speed 9-inch full-floating 9-inch rear end with 4.56 ratio. Detroit Speed upgrade the car’s handling using their AlumaFrame front suspension, subframe connectors, and QuadraLink 4-link rear suspension. On each corner they added JRI adjustable coilovers and Baer six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors. Those are covered by Forgeline Grudge three-piece wheels (18×9, 18×11) with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The custom interior by M&M Hotrod Interiors features Cobra Lemans seats, Classic Instruments gauges, and Vintage Air AC system. View more photos of the Mustang in the build album.
