1977 Cherokee with a Cummins R2.8
The Jeep Farm built this 1977 Jeep Cherokee at their company in Phoenix, Arizona. Up front they swapped a Cummins R2.8 turbodiesel inline-four capable of 161 hp (120 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. Behind that is a built 700R4 automatic transmission and Dana 300 transfer case. Power is split between a Dana 44 font axle and Dana 44 rear axle. Both have Trac-lock differentials and 3.73 ratios. The SUV rides on a BJ’s Offroad 2.5-inch suspension lift featuring Deaver leaf springs and Bilstein 3150 shocks. Behind the polished wheels are disc brakes front and rear. The Paint Farm repainted the Cherokee with Copper metallic paint and Glacier White roof. The interior features reinforced seats with custom plaid and leather upholstery. The Jeep Farm also installed a modified CJ center console, Dakota Digital gauges, and rearview mirror with backup camera.
