Custom BMW 2002 Update

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Matt celebrated a milestone in his custom BMW 2002 project with the first drive. Since our previous article he installed fuel lines, coolant lines, windshield, and rear glass. Matt built the unique BMW coupe using a Subaru WRX (GC8) chassis under a BMW 2002 (E10) body. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 L EJ205 flat-four making 227 hp (166 kW) and 217 lb-ft (294 Nm) of torque. Behind that is a five-speed manual transmission sending power to the front wheels and a Subaru rear differential. Matt improved handling with Cygnus Performance X-1 adjustable coilovers.
