1958 Cameo with a Supercharged LT4 V8
Blake Stoner built this 1958 Chevrolet Cameo truck at his company Stoner’s Speed Shop in Hudson, Iowa. In the engine bay is a supercharged 6.2 L LT4 V8 crate motor capable of 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The motor features an aluminum block with 6-bolt main caps, forged steel crank and rods, forged aluminum pistons, 189/223 camshaft, 1.7 L Eaton R1740 supercharger, and All American Billet accessory drive. A Gearstar 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission transfers power to a Quick Performance 9-inch rear end with 3.73 ratio. The truck rides on a Fatman Mustang II front suspension with an Air Lift 3H air bag suspension. Behind the custom Detroit Steel 20×8 wheels are Wilwood six-piston calipers with drilled/slotted rotors in front and four-piston caliper in rear. Boss Custom Interiors created the custom red interior along with Dakota Digital HDX direct-fit gauges, Vintage Air AC system, and Con2R steering wheel on a Ididit column.
