1977 Jeep Cherokee with a 6.4L Hemi V8
This 1977 Jeep Cherokee S went to Vigilante in Johnson City, Texas for a makeover. In the engine bay they installed a 6.4 L Hemi V8 producing 485 hp (356 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque. The motor is paired to a Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and Atlas II two-speed transfer case. Power is split between a Currie Dana 44 front axle and Currie Dana 60 rear axle. The SUV rides on a Vigilante chassis with a 4-link suspension in front and rear. Each corner has Fox Racing 2.0 coilovers and Baer six-piston calipers with drilled/slotted rotors. On the outside Vigilante painted the body in blue and white accented by their custom grill and emblems. The finishing touch is a set of their Vigilante 17×9-inch slotted wheels.
