Willys–Overland Wagon with a Cummins R2.8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1952 Willys–Overland station wagon sustained a lot of damage while sitting for 50 years in the hot and arid climate of New Mexico. The wagon was sent to Well Sorted in Englewood, Colorado for a new life. The company replaced the factory chassis for a 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ chassis. In the engine bay they swapped a 2.8 L Cummins R2.8 turbodiesel inline-four using custom mounts and modified firewall. The motor is paired to a Jeep AX15 five-speed manual transmission under a custom tunnel. The rest of the drivetrain consist of a Jeep NP231 transfer case and factory Wrangler Dana 30 axles. Well Sorted replaced the damaged interior with new Bestop heated seats and Tuffy center console. They rebuilt the factory gauges with modern electronics and installed Vintage Air AC system.
