Mike Whiddett’s Five-Rotor on the Dyno

Mike Whiddett is prepping for Mad Mike’s Summer Bash on Dec 7th at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park in North Waikato, New Zealand. One of the cars that will be at the event is Mike’s custom Mazda 787D. In the front of the car is a five-rotor built by Pulse Performance Race Engineering (PPRE). Mike put the wild creation on the dyno where the custom five-rotor made 648 hp at the wheels at 10,000 rpm on 98 octane fuel. If you want your own five-rotor it will cost you. To give you an idea of the motor’s price, PPRE sells their 4-rotor for $79,000 and a 6-rotor for $117,000.
