Corvette ZR1’s Twin-Turbo LT7 Makes 1,064 hp

Chevrolet unveiled details on the 2025 Corvette ZR1 and it’s powerful heart. In the back of the sports car is a twin-turbo 5.5 L LT7 V8 capable of 1064 hp at 7000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6000 rpm. The motor is created using an aluminum block with iron liners features a 4.104-inch bore and 3.150-inch stroke. To that they add a flat-plane crankshaft, forged titanium rods with large wrist pins, forged pistons, and seven-stage dry sump system. Boost is generated by a two 76 mm ball-bearing turbochargers integrated with the exhaust manifolds with electronic wastegates. The charged air is cooled by dual water-to-air coolers into two 65 mm throttle bodies. The fuel system uses 93 octane through both port injection and direct injection (max pressure of 5076 psi (35 Mpa/350 bar)). Read more details on the engine and car at Chevrolet media.
