Classic Recreations built this 1970 Mustang as a Boss 429 licensed from Ford in 2021. Under the hood is a 572 ci V8 crate motor producing 655 hp and 710 lb-ft of torque. The 385-series big-block features a Ford Performance A460 block with a 4.50-inch bore and 4.50-inch stroke. The motor includes a SCAT forged steel crankshaft, SCAT forged steel H-beam rods, Diamond Racing pistons, and hydraulic roller camshaft (259/263). It’s topped with Ford Performance “Super Cobra Jet” aluminum heads and runs on a Concept One pulley system. Behind the motor is a Level IV Supermatic three-speed automatic transmission with a Yank Performance 258 billet converter and a Ford 9-inch rear rend with 3.70 gears. The classic rides on custom coilovers and American Racing 18-inch wheels cover Wilwood four-piston brakes front and rear. The black interior features TMI leather seats with NS five-point harnesses, custom console, Old Air Products AC system, and Classic Industries gauges. The car sold at Mecum in January, 2024.
