This 1949 Ford “Shoebox” received a modern heart at Texas SpeedLab Performance in Texas. The classic car is now powered by a first-generation 5.0 L Coyote V8 producing 420 hp (308 kW) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque. Backing that is a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission, Eastcost Driveline custom driveshaft, and Ford 9-inch rear end. The car rides on a CPP tubular front suspension and 4-link rear suspension. The factory drum brakes were upgraded to disc brakes on each corner.
