1968 Nova with a Twin-Turbo Big-Block V8
Timm Built Customs built this 1968 Chevy II Nova at their company in Springfield, Illinois. Under the 4-inch cowl hood sits a twin-turbo 565 ci big-block V8 built by NCP Speed and Machine. The motor features a WP Merlin IV big-block block with 4.60-inch bore, 4.25-inch stroke, custom-ground camshaft, Molnar crank and rods, and RaceTec 10:1 compression pistons. On top are Liberty Performance heads and FiTech Ultra Ram intake manifold with a 102 mm throttle body. The motor flanked by Ultimate exhaust headers leading to Precision 76 mm turbochargers. A Hughes 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission sends power through a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft to a Strange 9-inch rear end with Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential and 3.70 ratio. The car rides on Heidts tubular control arms, 2-inch drop spindles, subframe connectors, and 4-link rear suspension with Panhard bar. Stuffed under the arches are US Wheels Rat Rod wheels (18×10, 20×12) with Toyo R888R tires (295/30, 325/25). You can view more photos and specs at Bring a Trailer.
