1987 Starion with a Twin-Turbo 6G72 V6
This 1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R is now powered by a 6G72 V6 from a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 with two Garrett 60 mm turbochargers. The motor features a block bored .040″ over, Wiseco forged pistons and connecting rods, “factory-style” camshafts, custom intake manifold, and 90 mm throttle body. Fuel is fed by 75 lb injectors through a custom rail controlled by a Megasquirt standalone ECU. Behind the motor is a C4 three-speed automatic transmission and later-model Starion six-bolt rear end with a limited-slip differential. The car’s suspension uses a MOOKEEH struts, manual steering rack, MOOKEEH pillow-ball adjustable control arms, and Wilwood manual brakes with no anti-lock braking system. Covering those are AVID.1 AV6 18-inch wheels with wheel adapters and 245/40 Federal tires. You can view more photos and details on this Starion at the Bring a Trailer listing.
