1974 Pantera with a Boss 429 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1974 De Tomaso Pantera is powered by a 429 ci (7.0L) Boss 429 V8 built by Ray Barton Racing Engines. The 385-series big-block features a Crower camshaft, semi-hemi heads, high-rise intake manifold, four Inglese-modified Weber DCOE carburetors, and custom exhaust headers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF 5DS five-speed manual transaxle. The suspension uses Precision Pro-Formance control arms, QA1 adjustable coilovers, and Wilwood six-piston brakes in front and rear. Covering those are PI Motorsports wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport tires (255/40, 355/30). The exterior features a GT5-style Hall-Pantera body kit covered in Lamborghini metallica orange paint and black racing stripes. The unique car is found for sale on Bring a Trailer.
