Custom 1934 Ford Coupe with a 1200 hp Twin-Supercharged 9.1 L Mercury V8
Bring a Trailer reports motorcycle racer Loris Capirossi has owned this custom 1934 Ford coupe for 20+ years. The car is powered by a twin-supercharged 9.1 L Mercury Marine 1200 SCi V8 capable of 1200 hp (894 kW). Behind the motor is a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission with a HGM Compushift controller. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Currie 9-inch rear end and 35-spline axles. The powertrain sits on a fabricated steel frame with a Mustang II-style front suspension with tubular upper control arms and triangulated 4-link rear suspension with adjustable coilovers. On top of the chassis is a fiberglass 1934 3-window coupe body with chopped roofline and covered in two-tone gray metallic paint. That is accented by 1932-style headlights, blue-dot taillights, Stage6 side mirrors, and Lamborghini Aventador wheels.
