1976 Chevy C10 with a 454 ci LTx V8
Protouring Texas built this 1976 Chevy C10 with a 454 ci LTx V8. The motor is built by Late Model Engines to make 725 hp (533 kW). It uses a Callies crankshaft and rods, LME/Diamond forged pistons, and CID heads. Exhaust is routed through Ultimate 2-inch headers through custom stainless steel tubing. Behind the motor is a Circle D converter and 10Lxx 10-speed automatic transmission transmitting power to a 9-inch rear end. Protouring Texas replaced the factory chassis for a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis. It features a tubular control arms, C7 Corvette uprights, 4-link rear suspension, and adjustable coilovers. Behind the Forgeline wheels are Baer Pro+ six-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors in front and rear. JD Glass Works completed the custom leather and fabric interior. A leather-wrapped Sparc steering wheel bolts to an Ididit steering column. Inside the dashboard are Dakota Digital gauges and Vintage Air Gen 5 AC system.
