Scoggin-Dickey’s Twin-Turbo 4.3L V6 Makes 1400+ hp on the Dyno
Kurt Urban at Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center (SDPC) built a powerful twin-turbo 4.3 L LV3 V6. The build starts with a factory block and crankshaft, and adds SDPC’s Wiseco pistons and Molnar rods kit, and custom ground camshaft (212°/218°, .564″/.558″ 113LSA). They also added Johnson 2110R lifters, CHE Rocker Trunnions, Bell water-to-air intercooler, Holley hi-ram intake manifold, and Motion Raceworks Icon 102 mm throttle body. Boost is generated by two HPT 6262 turbochargers fed by modified L8T cast exhaust manifolds. Scoggin-Dicky deleted the AMF (Active Fuel Management) and VVT (Variable Valve Timing). For the dyno run the motor ran on VP Racing MS-109 fuel through FID 1300 cc injectors using port injection. The combo resulted in 1403 hp (1031 kW) and 1125 lb-ft (1525 Nm) on 33.2 psi (2.2 bar) of boost.
