Porsche 964 with a Twin-Turbo 993 Motor Racing Nürburgring’s GP Strecke
Mike Torwesten from Torwesten Racing and their Porsche 935 race car attended the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the Touring Car Legends on the GP Strecke circuit layout. Mike retired from Race 1 requiring him start in 38th place in Race 2. Mike finished with the class win and overall win. Torwesten Racing is selling their 935 race car and moving on to another race car. The project started as a 1989 Porsche 964 RSR with a twin-turbo 3.6 L flat-six from a Porsche 993 GT2 EVO. The motor’s 540 hp (397 kW) and 660 Nm (486 lb-ft) of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential transaxle from a 997 RSR. The suspension features Nitron adjustable 4-way coilovers and 997 GT3 R brakes with Bosch Motorsport ABS M5 (12 settings). Watch Mike battle his way through the field and a very fast Opel Astra DTM driven by Tim Schrick in the video below.
