1980 Trans Am with a ProCharged 6.7 L V8
Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop spent 10 weeks transforming this 1980 Trans Am Pace Car at their company in Gadsden, Alabama. Power is generated by a supercharged 6.7L LS1 V8 built by Automotive Specialists running on a Holley Dominator ECU. The motor features a ProCharger P-1X supercharger and their new water-to-air intake intercooler. The drivetrain uses a Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and 9-inch rear end. The car rides on a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis with tubular control arms and parallel 4-link rear suspension. The second-generation body is covered in pearlescent white paint with a satin gun metal hood design. Inside the wells are custom JHRS Turbine replica billet wheels (18×9, 19×10).
