Subaru Motorsports USA and Vermont SportsCar (VSC) created the “Brataroo 9500 Turbo” for Travis Pastrana to drive in the next Gymkhana. The project starts with a 1978 Subaru BRAT powered by a turbocharged 2.0 L flat-four built by VSC. The motor produces 670 hp (492 kW) and 680 lb-ft (921 Nm) of torque. The 4WD drivetrain features a SADEV six-speed sequential transmission and “motorsport-grade” differentials. Of course the most striking modification is the custom carbon fiber widebody designed by Khyzyl Saleem (The Kyza) with active front and rear aero. The BRAT rides on a VSC built WRC-spec chassis with custom KMC Wheels 18-inch wheels inspired by BRAT’s factory four-spoke deign.
